Dumfries and Galloway Council’s Homeless Housing Services can refer you to Independent Living Support if you need support to:
- Find suitable accommodation
- Move into and furnish new accommodation
- Manage your rights and responsibilities as a tenant
- Manage your finances such as budgeting, debt or benefit claims
- Find suitable local services for any other concerns you may have

You are entitled to accommodation from Dumfries & Galloway Council if you are:
- Sleeping rough
- Staying with friends or family with no home of your own
- Living in poor condition that affect your health
- At risk of violence in your home
- Living in overcrowded conditions
- Living in a home that is not suitable because of illness or disability
